Samsung has launched a full on attack on the consumer mobile phone market with their Samsung Corby Pro. It is a direct competitor to some of the offerings from Nokia and even Sony. How does it measure up?

Design
The Samsung Corby Pro is one of the smallest phones on the market, and also one of the lightest. Even though it has a 2.8 inch screen, it weighs in at just under 100 grams. It has a beautiful touch screen that works fantastic. There are many different colored battery covers that are available so you can customize the look of your phone.

Key Features
The Samsung Corby Pro many great features tat make is a great selection for anyone. One of its key features is its battery life – it has up to 540 minutes of talk time and 730 hours of standby time. It features a 2 megapixel camera, 50mb of internal memory and an external memory slot that will take up to 8gb. It also has a FM radio tuner and features all the instant messaging and email capabilities you would expect of a phone this caliber.

Final Verdict
The Samsung Corby Pro is a high quality phone. While it doesn’t offer all the same features as the Apple iPhone or other phones of that caliber, it is still a great phone for anyone looking for some great features. Nexus One Review

Google is putting all their effort into their iPhone killer, the Nexus One. How close does this phone come to dethroning the iPhone and becoming the king of the smart phone sector? Closer than you think…

Design
The Nexus One is a really good looking phone. It has a 3.7 inch touch screen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution – one of the highest on the market. It has a 100,000:1 contrast ratio – a ratio usually seen in big screen televisions but not mobile phones. It is just over 1 cm thin and weighs in at around 130 grams. It is sleek, slim, and will look good on your ear or in your hands.

Key Features
The Nexus One has so many great features that it would take forever to list them. Lets start with the operating system – it uses the Google Android operating system, one of the up and comers in the consumer mobile phone market. It has a 5 megapixel camera that can take still photos and videos. IT can play back up to 7 hours of video, 20 hours of audio, and offers up to 10 hours of talk time.

Final Verdict
The Nexus One is one of the iPhones fiercest competitors. In reality, it does almost everything that the iPhone does. Is this the right phone for you? If you are looking for one of the best phones on the market and don’t buy into all the iPhone hype, the Nexus One is the phone you need.
